Hello from Surrey :D My name is Helene
I am stitching my first ever project on black evenweave and finding it a challenge!
Here is a picture of part of the project ( it might be too big!)
Looking forward to chatting to everyone on here. Your projects are fab!

Welcome to the forum, Helene, and hello from Colorado.

Your work is lovely...and your first project is on black? I'm impressed. Dark colors are (in my opinion) harder to stitch on, but you're doing a great job.

Welcome from Berkshire, very close to that bit where we meet Surrey and Hampshire too!

You are very brave to stitch on black. I need a magnifier to stitch on white and I would need a light box on my lap as well for that. That looks so deceptively simple a pattern, and I bet its not!

Thank you very much for your kind welcome :)
I am looking forward to beiing part of this forum.

I put a white teatowel on my lap and use a magnifying glass + my glasses to stitch on this project! I only have the large swan to do and a few water ripples now.
