Hello rose, welcome to the forum! I hope you'll get a lot of enjoyment from taking up this wonderful hobby again :-). I'm afraid I can't help you about the frames, as I do mostly small projects, but there are plenty of others on the forum who'll be delighted to give you the full benefit of their expertise!

Welcome aboard roseo7 from another Rose. We are sure to have many suggestion for you. Have you googled your request to see what is out there and what you are looking for. Lap stand? Free Standing? With a light? Scroll type? Hoop type? There are so many and looking through the interent sites will give you a nice selection to choose from. Maybe also have a look around e-bay or other such sites to see if you can find what you are looking for.

Hope to see you around often.

For a floor stand I picked up this Universal Craft Stand. It can accomidate any type of hoop or scroll frame you use while stitching. I posted a picture of a table/lap stand that I got on one of the threads around here but I don't remember which one. I'll have t find it again.

Hi there and welcome from the West of Scotland.

I wouldn't be without my floor stand. It makes stitching so much easier. I have a very old-fashioned (now) Opus stand, which is still perfectly good -- it's just that technology and design have moved on. If you do a google search, you will find plenty of alternatives, at all sorts of prices.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I hope you find what suits your needs best. I mostly stitch freehand just because I hate the marks left by hoops, but I can see the benefit of having a frame for larger pieces.
Let us know what you finally end up with and how you get on with it please as it's always handy to get recommendations and everyones experiences of different products.

Speaking of stands, does anyone know if there is a stand for Q-Snap frames? On the website they offer a floor stand but it is huge, and made for quilting on a large scale. I'd love to find something smaller (to hold 11x17) Q-Snaps.
