Hello from a returning xstitcher!

Post by Quietmind »

Hi
I used to stitch many years ago, and then kids and work and studying got in the way. Then, a little while ago, I was away for the weekend in our campervan with my lovely husband and two teenage kids and I suddenly had an OVERWHELMING urge to start stitching again! So, all I could do to meet the urge was to go to the closest supermarket and buy the first cross stitching magazine I could find that had a small tk attached to the front! That was it, I was hooked again.

Wind on a few months and I am stitching several Christmas cards, a bothy cut thru and a dimensions kit. I have ordered three HAED charts (two minis and one bigger one), have two Q snap type frames- really like one.

Oh and the wonder that is YouTube have revolutionised my learning - how did I not know to use a loop start? How would I have ever learnt about parking?! I stitch in several different ways - the bothy is cross country, the dimensions kit I park and the Christmas cards I just hold in my hand. You will see in a different thread that I am trying to decide between building up a stash and buying kits. I suspect like many of you I will do both.

Nice to 'meet' you all and find this lovely forum.

Bothy cut thru North Pole house
Several cards

Too scared to start: HAEDs: world traveler bookshelf mini; in the eye of the beholder

A returning stitcher, loving how stitching gives me a quiet mind.
