Vietnam Service Ribbon In DMC?

I need help matching the service ribbon colors in DMC.

Hello Abigal and welcome to the forum from South Carolina. The DMC Website has downloadable floss color cards which could help you find the colors you need. Or you could take the ribbon or picture of the ribbon to your local Craft Store or LNS and match the floss to the colors that way. Hope you will show us what you are stitching. We love pictures!

A little more information would be needed..... are you talking about the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal or are you talking about the Vietnam Campaign Medal. They are very different and would need different suggestions.

RC is right if you have the medal the best thing is to take it and match the colors by doing a floss toss. Pictures can be very different in coloring and not give an accurate suggestion.

Is the outside edges dr. green...then gold...red...gold...red...gold and then then the dr. green again? Take that ribbon to the store and you can match colors best. Good luck and my Thanks to the person earning this ribbon.

Hi Carole! Thank you! I'm doing the Vietnam Forget Us Not but only soldier on the left and the helicopter from Legendary Aircraft. I want to add the service ribbon on them.

Hi Cook! That is the one! I don't have the ribbon it's for a vet though and I will pass along the thank you! I think I will try 728 817 and 699 see how it turns out. Not sure about the red I think 321 would be too light.
