That is just amazing.
It even qualifies for an 'Ossum' award. Can't say better than that.

I can fully understand why you love stitching the picture.

Awesome! Fantastic! and absolutely magnificent! You have done an amazing job and I think have every right to say that you adore him. Beautiful detail and what a wonderful nose! If I sound like I'm gushing over this one, I am.

WOW he is totally and wonderfully AMAZING and you are doing a wonderful job of stitching him so beautifully. Of course you can be in love with a stitching design like this one is, totally understandable.

So sorry to hear that your Dad's health is worse. Adobe White is one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen for a long while: congratulations on your beautiful work, not to mention perseverance!!

Incredibly beautiful - and I do understand your reluctance to finish him- in the confessions thread, I confessed that I have sometimes not finished a pice off because I enjoy it too much - a bit like finishing a really really good book!

Thank you for your lovely comments, everyone. Dad has been in and out of hospital a few times over the last couple of weeks so I'm on a full-on drive to get this finished ASAP and it has particularly special meaning for me.

Tadaaaaaa!!! I finished him yesterday evening and then DH cracked open a bottle of champagne and took pictures

I'm going to miss this guy. He's been a joy to stitch and an emotional rollercoaster at times, but never a dull moment. I'm in a quandary over whether to wash him or not. I've never washed any of my stitching and I'm nervous of my first attempt being on something that has so much sentimental value.

My next one-at-a-time piece will be Drawing Room, which is all kitted up and waiting in the wings, but before I get started on that I want to make some progress on Coniferous Forest and Lion Profile, which have been rather neglected over the past year or so.

Thanks for looking, and for all the lovely comments you've posted on my progress. They kept me going when I thought I'd never finish him.
