I am a newcomer to this forum from Central NY, USA. Glad to find a group that offers stitching helps and tips. I love to keep my hands busy when attending a long labor so cross stitch is one of my go to past times. I find it very relaxing for me as well as reassuring and calming for my laboring moms when they see me stitching as they labor in the birth pools etc.
Hello Meredith and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! As far as I know, cross stitching in a labor room while waiting for a baby to arrive is a first for us. Interesting that it comes the mom to be but that does make sense since its obvious that you think everything is going like its supposed to. What types of projects do you like to stitch? Hope you will post pictures for us. We love pictures!

Hi Merideth and Welcome from freezing Brisbane, still waiting for that sun to warm us up. Its great that you use your stitching to help pass the time in the labour room and that it is calming for the mum-to-be too. Looking forward to seeing your WIP's
