Hello from Arkansas

Post by brandilynb »

Hi I'm Brandilyn. I don't know where to start in this introduction. So far I have only worked on/completed kits from the "box stores" that are on Aida. When I get the money for materials I want to try a pattern on linen.

Hi and welcome!

I used to live in Arkansas until a couple of months ago. Where abouts do you live?

If you are anywhere near Little Rock, there is a great cross stitch shop in west Little Rock called The Shepherd's Needle. They have a ton of patterns and fabric and threads that you can't find in the box stores. Of course, you can get those things online as well, but it's always fun to look at fabric colors and feel them before you buy.

Anyway, glad to have you on the forum!

Welcome to the forum!

I also live in Arkansas, at the Air Force Base in Little Rock. Haven't been on much as I've been super busy with my baby son, but I do try to check in every now and then.

I second the Shepard's Needle in Little Rock. It's a lovely shop for those specialty threads and fabrics, and the owner is so so nice. :)

I live in the "SouthWest corners" of Arkansas. Little Rock is about 3 hours away, so I don't get to go there much. Thanks though! i hope to make a special trip to check it out. I live in such a tiny town i have to go an hour and a half to the nearest "Craft" store.

honestly I am trying to move to North Georgia. I have been trying for a couple of years now, technically. I am excited to be here and to learn more about our tapestry art.
