I can remember many happy hours throwing bread at the swans in Pembroke harbour when I was a tiny brat. Went back there week before last for the first time in at least 43 years, and did the same. The swans, however, got very little as seagulls have cottoned on and pushed the swans off. Ahh well, things change, and rarely entirely for the better.
Thank you, you are all very kind. It is nice to get compliments on your stitching

Seagulls are quite fierce nowadays, I remember one snatching a doughnut from our daughter's hand in Brighton.
Next, I will start to stitch a Joan Elliott Fairy on Hardanger ( after reading all your kind replies about the Hardanger fabric, I will stitch 2 over 1) Stitching on white, with clear squares seems really easy now, after the dark fabric!
