My grandmother passed away about a year ago and left this half finished piece. I've been hesitant to start to complete it as it feels like a little piece of her but I somehow found the courage and I've made good progress on it! Taking my time on it as I want it to be perfect but I can't wait to have it finished and framed! Will be my proudest finish!
It is so beautiful and I can easily see why you would want to finish it!!! I'm sure that you feel her spirit with you when stitching it and that in itself must be very comforting

Oh this is absolutely gorgeous. How wonderful to be handling and stitching something your grandmother started. I am sure she is encouraging you to finish it for her. Its beautiful.

If something happened to me and I left something beautiful like that unfinished, I would be thrilled if I knew one of my loved ones finished it in my place. What a special kind of tribute. ^_^
This is going to be such a beautiful memento when it's finished. I think it is very touching that she finished half, as it seems like you've 'shared' the project.
Thanks guys! I actually tweeted about a post I put up on my blog about it and DMC read it and told me they want to see it finished! Put a little smile on my face! I definitely know my grans with me when I'm stitching this
What a lovely way to pay tribute to a most loved grandmother. This is going to be a wonderful and a lasting treasure for you!
