Hello stitchers!
I am hoping to get some advise, and possibly some instruction on how to cut a skein of verigated floss.
I read a blog post that said to wrap it around a yard stick, and the. Just cut each end. This would keep the darker shade on one end, and the lighter shade on the other.
I tried this and I found I had 12 inches left over, and I don't want to waste it.
Is there a better / correct way to cut it so dark is on one end, light on the other and even.
Any help and suggestions would be VERY MUCH appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!

Unfortunately unless the dyer started and ended the floss at an even point in the dye cycle, that is going to happen. It's just part of how it was dyed. You can save the shorter bits to use when you just have a few stitches remaining in an area, or to use in a different project or something.
