Christmas ornaments

Post by stitchnsew »

I just got done making these ornaments this past week. I like to wait until the last minute to start Christmas projects. Actually, I have to feel a lot of pressure of time, in order to tear myself away from my big projects. I decided I wanted to 'quickly' make some ornaments for my kids and sister,; they ended up taking about 10 hr apiece. I had a magazine's Christmas ornament issue , but I was disappointed with all their ornaments-they were kind of simplistic. Then I saw an ad in the magazine, for Presencia threads, and they had a picture of 9 ornaments, that I really liked, and the ad said you could go to their website and download the graphs for all 9 for free! Perfect!!. So I have all the graphs, and made these 4. I just had to look for a thread conversion online.
These are done on 18 ct aida, and put into 4 inch wooden embroidery hoops.

:applesauce: :applesauce: These are stunning. Absolutely gorgeous. I think I will have to start thinking about these for next year's gifts.

They are lovely! I kno what you mean about that whole last minute thing.. I waited till the start of Dec to start my ornament sitching for gifts this year. I really need to stop doing that!
