Thank you Mabel - yes quite a list, but I feel quite inspired and excited by the possibilities! I really want to get out of the "saving thread for a special project" mindset and throw caution to the wind and enjoy using my stash as that is what it is there for! I must admit that there is one thread in my stash that I am waiting/looking out for the perfect project for - a Vineyard silk tone on tone perle in Autumn Leaves, I have some 25ct chocolate lugana in my stash, just need inspiration to strike :).

Vineyard silk is beautiful, so soft! It's quite thick though - but you can just about split it in its three plies I seem to remember. Are you hoping to use it for cross stitch or something different?

The thread that I have isn't pliable (is that even a thing?!), but just like a #5 perle in thickness, so the obvious choice has to be something Hardanger related........ :D

What wonderful list, Amanda! I don't set actual goals and still love all my HAEDs though I have slowed down a bit on my new starts. I was interested that you have Plum Pudding on your list. I got that a month or so ago when perftangel posted about her SAL. I plan to start stitching that New Year's Day or as soon as I finish the page I am currently working on for one of my HAEDs. I am not surprised that you will be stitching a purple design. I thought of you when my package came, especially since I also got the fabric and threads at the same time. Are you planning on using the suggested materials?

I had to Google Schwalm Embroidery, as I haven't heard of that before, and it looks gorgeous. I look forward to seeing what you do :)

The threads will be the same Carole but I'll be using Candytuft by Crafty Kitten for my fabric :D . I'm not joining in on Perftangel's /xstitchaven's sal - but I'll be following everyone's progress with interest!

I'm not setting any goals or rotations this year - just plan to stitch on what I fancy at the time. :D

One thing I do want to do is have a bit of a sort out, and I have started already with this. I'm going through all the freebies I have saved and deleting those I know I won't stitch and sorting the ones I want to keep into some sort of order. :tizzy:

I have also resolved to try and be a bit more active on the forum

I've decided that I have enough stress in my life and I'm not going to let it involve itself with my stitching. Therefore I don't care about any demands or deadlines (birthdays/babies and celebrations somewhat excluded), I don't care how many starts I make, I don't care about how many WIPs I have and I don't care about how many UFOs I have.

I'm very good at putting pressure on myself to stitch my WIPs and UFOs and all that happens is that I go off it and do something else in the end! I'm going to work my rotation on what feels right when I get there!!

I'd like to do some smaller designs so I get a good finish. I want to do Ana from the Pixie set, and some of the tribal designs that I can use handdyed fabric and floss for - and I'm also going to forget the "it's so special I should save it" feeling you get!!

Now I just have to keep telling myself this!!!!!

2014 has been an interesting year for me, I started the needle minding thing and have enjoyed being creative and people liking what I do. The tension clips I designed are doing well as well. I'm happy with the level of sales now, enough to be interesting and earn a very small amount of money and not enough to feel overwhelming (which is easy!!) the resin needle minders are always going to be popular, but really the only creativity involved with them is finding things that are popular (eeyore, Tardis) but I like far better the fobs and wood painted/decoupaged and the Needle Safe sales more. I made them.

Please don't hate me, but I've already almost completed my first resolution, which was to sort out the hundreds of threads I'd bought to kit up designs that I've subsequently lost interest in into one big stash organised by DMC number/colour family so that I can start new designs from the threads I've already got and only buy the ones I need.

Other resolutions are ...

1. Finish Lion Profile. This is relatively small compared to some of my other designs so I hope to have him done by late spring then get him framed with Lioness and hung on the wall.

2. Start GK Cat in a Window for Mum (some of you will have seen the story behind this in another thread). This will be quite slow going with all the blends so I'm being kind to myself and not setting a deadline for it. My existing WIPS (Coniferous Forest, Drawing Room, Freesias, Mini Swan Song and Mini Time IV - now that I lust* them, there are fewer than I thought! :dance: ) will be alternatives for when I need a change from Lion/Cat but being a born again one-at-a-timer since doing the wolf, I will be focusing almost exclusively on Lion and Cat.

So those are my goals for 2015. Barring disasters, I think this is quite manageable.

* I do of course mean LIST but the typo made me laugh so I left it in. :lol:
Sew many patterns, sew little time!

I need to sort and classify.yesterday while looking for a childs PJ pattern(I sew for kids going into foster care)I found a drawer full of cross stitch fabric that I had totally forgotten about.
I have decided I bought way too much stash,if there is such a thing,in the last four weeks.So no more buying.
Some people drink when depressed I buy stash.PI will prioritise my WIPs of which there are many and try to finish at least four before starting something new.That sounds familiar I think I resolved to do that last year.
I managed to find Four Saisons-Anagram Difussion in a closing down sale and I really want to start it .I've seen a pic of it stitched in the seasonal colours .I think it was shown on Nordic Needles site about ten years ago.Need to work out the colours.
I will follow my heart and stitch what I like.

I'm quite busy with work and familiare so I can fix few affordable goals:

1. MUST finish the quilt by the end of January;
2. Finish the African kit for a couple of friends;

That's it! Any other project will be welcome! :D
