Did you complete your Stitching Resolutions?????

Post by Rose »

How did I do with my resolutions................
1) first and foremost I have to finish the quilt. I have 9 of the squares finished but I think I will have to redo one of the stars because it just looks BAD. So redo that square and then finish the other 7 and get the binding on so ti can be presented.
THIS IS A MUST
I think I did quite well. I did finish my daughters quilt in time for her to take it with her to Virginia when she moved. :whoop:
2) Get the 2 maps done for my son. This was a last year resolution but I do need to get at it.
I did not even start these...........
3) With family reunion coming up in July I need the other 3 angels to be done and finished into bags. I also need 2 boy presents....... :thinks:
Oh yes I did get the reunion bags finished!!!!!! :whoop: :whoop:
4) And the Christmas presents need to be thought up and stitched.
I did make christmas gifts but I did not cross stitching any of them so that one is a neutral result. :?

So I think all in all I did well.
I finished the quilts, stitched and assembled the bags for the reunion (I had 5 angels stitched needing to be sewn into bags and then I stitched the other 3 angels, did 2 bags for the boys and 4 bags for the little girls) I also did 3 cup cozies for the spouses and I made gifts for my sisters. I completed July, August, September, December, January and February of the Cottage of the Months for my daughter. Completed that evil Swirly Heart that I still do not know what to make it into. Completed the Wedding gift for daughters bestie. (4 totes and 4 treasure bags) Stitched 4 cards. Completed Luna for myself so she could watch over Halloween. I also did some crocheting and finished 4 projects for that.

I am oh so close to being done with the pumpkins and also with Ana. I would like to have the pumpkins complete by New Years Eve. So all in all with so much going on I think it was a very good stitching year.

:applesauce: :applesauce: I'm impressed! That is quite a bit done and so much of it with a time limit. I don't make many resolutions since I know that two weeks after New Year's I will already be behind and I think since I've retired I try to limit any goals and objectives that need to be met in a year. I do admire those of you you make and work towards completing resolutions (of all sorts, especially the stitching ones). I will be interested in seeing how others have done. Of course there are 4 more days to the New Year, plenty of time to get some more done.

I had to dig around the site to find what my resolutions were and I didn't do so well. I didn't frame any of my finished projects. I didn't get my WIP list down to a dozen and I didn't finish all the projects I wanted to. But I did finish Carcassonne, Japanese Beauty #1, Winter in the Village, Music and Spiral Fractal (among the others that I started AND finished this year). I'm almost done with Twilight Balloon Flight and if I push itI might get really close to finishing it. I only have 2 full pages and a very tiny bit on a 3rd page to do and I'm 1/3 of the way through one of those pages already.
current project rotation:
Twilight Balloon Flight
The Accolade
Faces of Faery 89
Dad's Flower Pot

I finished a couple of my resolutions but I do have lots of UFOs and WIPs. I didn't realized that it takes forever to finish one of my resolutions when I keep starting on another different project such as exchanges, gifts, etc. I won't make a resolution for this year ( 2015).... just go through my pile of WIPs and UFOs and pick one to try to finish before the end of this year.

I can't remember my stitching resolutions but they would have changed anyway when Dad fell seriously ill and the wolf (which was a gift for him) became a race against time. All that matters to me as far as resolutions are concerned is that I got the wolf finished and Dad is continuing to recover. Phew! :D

Good to hear that Dad is getting better. I thought of you and Adobe White recently when watching the two BBC films of Gordon Buchanan with the snow wolves.
