 Hi I'm very new to cross stitching even though I'm 51, so please bear with me while I try your patience by asking such questions that may irritate you. Thank you :)

 Welcome to the forum from South Carolina and welcome to cross stitching, a wonderful hobby. Don't be afraid to ask any questions here. Someone here will either know the answer or know where to go to find the answer. If no one is available (and someone usually is around since we cover most time zones, I think) you can always check the Tips and Tricks section which has a link to the Glossary. I refer to the glossary often because I can't always remember the anagrams that we use. I stitched for over 20 years before joining the forum, and have learned so many new things and am learning new things all the time.
Looking forward to getting to know you.

Great that you have found cross stitching and as has already been said it is an addiction, and a lovely one at that. :D

Welcome to the forum! :)

I can't imagine that you could irritate us by asking newbie questions. I think you'll find that this is a helpful group, so ask away.

Hello from snowy Colorado and welcome to the forum...and to the wonderful hobby of cross stitching. If you have questions, ask away without any fear of trying anyone's patience here. We were all new at some point, and even those of us who have been stitching for decades (me) are still finding new techniques.

Welcome to the forum. It's a friendly place full of warm fuzzies, encouragement, and the enabling of our stitchy addiction.

I love the name you've chosen. If it means you're a Disney fan, well, you can guess where my name comes from. 8)

Welcome from Long Island, NY! This is the most wonderful place for a newbie! I just started stitching last December at the age of 48. Every question I have asked has been answered with no sign of irritation. I have received advice, encouragement, and warm congratulations on my minor achievements. I do recommend reading through the Tips and Tricks and especially the thread titled Suggestions for a Newbie. I can't tell how much I learned from that thread alone.

Enjoy your new hobby, and do share your work!
