Love the balloon :)

I'd leave the basket as it is, but then I really love purple :P
No reason why you can't change it to brown, and then you could do the cat in black, ginger, white or grey. Or a mixture of the lot

He's so handsome!!! I love those curls...hope they last...boys are funny about curly hair!!

I like that balloon very much...so bright and cheerful.
I think shades of brown would work on the basket if you want to change it....I'd put a Ginger cat in there...Siamese are very slender cats and that one looks too chubby to be a Siamese...but that's just my opinion! :thinks:

:whoop: :whoop: So glad that I have been back tracking to catch up on stitching projects because I didn't miss your absolutely adorable boy! What a great smile!!! I bet he is a real charmer.

Oh, love the balloons too! :applesauce: :applesauce: I agree that a brown basket is doable and a gray or black cat would look good. I love black cats (my first furbaby) and think of them as being good luck, but maybe black with white (sort of tabby looking?) would be good. Or perhaps, if you don't like the purple you could use one of the other shades in the balloon (like blue?)

Managed to stitch a little more since the last update! I'm finally finding a bit of time after Erik goes to bed to sit and watch TV and stitch like I used to do (except before him I did that throughout the day, and not just at night :P ).

I decided to leave the basket as is, since my niece's room has some lavender and purple, so it'd fit with her nursery decor.

And thank you all for the lovely comments on my little one, he's a handful but indeed, a very cute handful. :D The curls are gone though, he had his first haircut since his curls were becoming a rat's nest and impossible to untangle in the back.

I'm glad you're getting more stitching time in - every mom needs "me" time. You're making really good progress. Your work is beautiful and the design is so cute and colorful.

A lovely picture. The stitching is very nicely done. so even. Your little boy is gorgeous. Understand about the curls but they do look so lovely when I haven't got to untangle them. Thanks for sharing, the stitching & your delightful son :D :D Glad you are getting 'me' time again so you can stitch & relax in the evening. :D

I can't believe I haven't done any SAL updating since April! And I've basically gone 2 years without much stitching. :ratherbe:
But my little one is a good excuse to not have had time to stitch, but my mind is always wandering back to my stash and thinking of all the pretty threads and WIPs and things I still want to stitch!

But, better late than never, right? I finally have an update to share, on my niece's birth announcement (she turned one in September, yikes!). I'm about half way done now. I hope I get into a groove and finish it by Thanksgiving, so I can mail it to Brazil so it can finally go up on my niece's nursery wall.

And here's Erik! He will be two on Thanksgiving week! Time flies!

The balloons look great and are coming along, maybe slower than you want but progress is progress. And it's hard to find stitchy time with a little one.

And as for the little one - Erik is just adorable! He's getting so big!

:whoop: What a cutie! Eric is so adorable. I can't believe he is nearly 2 years old.

:applesauce: :applesauce: for the balloons! The older your niece is when she receives the sampler, the more she will be able to appreciate it! Looks beautiful so far!
