Hello
My name is Cindi and I'm a cross-stitch addict. I'm from NC and take care of my mother who has had to retire from work due to health problems. I hope to get to know everyone in here and learn lots of tips.

Hi Cindi and Welcome from me too in very cool Brisbane - winter seems to have arrived a bit early here. It is great that you have found us and I hope you enjoy your stay with the forum and learn all the tricks of cross stitching, hardanger and other crafts as well from time to time. Some of us are or have been on a crochet binge with ripple blankets, lots of fun.

Hi, Debby and thank for the welcome. Right now I am working on some Christmas presents using some letters with a Christmasy feel. As soon as I get my phone I will take pics and put them up.fccs wrote:Hello from Colorado and welcome to the forum. Hello, squirrel and thanks for the welcome. I also like to crochet but I do granny squares and then piece them together in whatever twisted way my mind comes up with.Squirrel wrote:Hi Cindi and Welcome from me too in very cool Brisbane - winter seems to have arrived a bit early here. Re: Hello
Hi, Carole and thanks for the welcome. I think you are the closest to me right now - can we send some of the rain your way? I have a huge stash - my mom used to do plastic canvas until arthritis set in so she told me if I could do something with the stuff to go right ahead. I'm doing granny square afghans in the winter and cross stitch in the warmer weather.rcperryls wrote:Hi Cindi and welcome to the forum from your neighbor to the south of you in South Carolina! This is the perfect place for cross stitch addicts and we will do everything we can to encourage, support and enable the addiction. Don't be surprised if you start adding significantly to your stash, try new and different designers and techniques. Looking forward to seeing your pictures and getting to know you!

That's one of the cool things about granny squares - you can do so much with them.toosweetforme wrote: I also like to crochet but I do granny squares and then piece them together in whatever twisted way my mind comes up with.

You're right about that. They are also lighter to work with until time to stitch them together.fccs wrote:That's one of the cool things about granny squares - you can do so much with them.toosweetforme wrote: I also like to crochet but I do granny squares and then piece them together in whatever twisted way my mind comes up with.

You're right fddlr, I am learning so much in here - and sometimes I almost fall asleep here at the computer because I don't want to give up my reading.
