Hello

Post by xstitchx »

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but it looks a great place to be. A little about me:

I am a 33 year old full time carer to my (possibly) autistic son. I also have a 2 year old daughter and a 33 year old fiance.

I have been stitching for years. But my stitchy bug vanished when I fell pregnant with my daughter. The pregnancy and birth were hard and traumatic, and I have battled with depression. I am now on the right medication and on the road to recovery. I have just completed a small kit from the cover of a magazine and feeling very much addicted again!

I look forward to getting to know you all!

 Hello xstitchx and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! This is a great place to be! I'm glad to hear that your depression is being treated successfully and that your addiction to stitching has returned. I'm sure that we will be more than happy to enable you in this. I hope that you will post pictures of your work. We love pictures and we don't care if a project is small, mini or supersized. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hello & welcome to the forum. Hope you soon feel at home as it is an excellent place to be. Sorry to hear about your very hard times & hope you are through them now. Quite a few, me included, suffer with depression so do not feel you are alone. Stitching is a very good pastime & helps ease stress. Lots of lovely people on here, all levels of craftsmanship. I only started cross stitching properly about a year ago & love it.

Look forward to seeing what you make some time in the future. :D

 xstitchx nice to meet you! I'm so glad you have managed to find your stitchy bug again after your hard times, hope you are feeling better! I suffer from panic attacks and anxiety and cross stitching is a really great way for me to forget about my woes for a little while, I'm sure a lot of us on here would be lost without cross stitching! The people on this forum are a lovely bunch, always eager to help you and cheer you on with projects. Would love to see the kit you did from the magazine :D

A slightly belated welcome to our forum from the West of Scotland (where we have had 4 -- count 'em FOUR) days without rain!  Glad you found us. A little tour will introduce you to the Stash & Grab, our virtual pub which serves the best hot chocolate in the whole world. There's a billiards room around that corner as well as a ball pool (even adults like a bit of fun), bouncy castle and, of course, our pride and joy, the treehouse.
