Hi there, I just joined. These little fairies are wonderful. I am seriously thinking I might join you. I would most likely stitch mine all on one piece of fabric. I am working two HAEDs currently and need something a bit smaller that I can just pick up and work on quickly. Nice work on those that are finished!

I have a friend on another forum who is also doing these lovely fairies on one piece. I think she's finished about 4 of them now.

HAED charts are a bit much for me, but I certainly admire those who do them!

I'm attaching a picture of how I will be finishing all the wonderful monthly Behind the calendar is a pocket containing stickers for her to use on the calendar. I used a paper calendar that will be easy to replace every year. I'll be sending her a new fairy every month.

The way you have decided to "finish" the pieces is pure genius. Oh, the ideas for a future project just jumped into my head. If only I had more time--like 48 hours in a day.

Thank you for the compliments. This is a very fun project. I have two fairies to finish stitching (November and December), and then a process to make them into the little calendar hangings.

AlwaysGoofy ~ Time is always an issue, even though I'm retired. It just takes baby steps! (Like eating an elephant ... one bite at a time.)

Thanks to everyone for the encouraging comments!

I just finished stitching the December fairy last night. I worked on some assembly of the quilted squares yesterday. Will continue with that today and also blocking as many motifs as I can, so they are ready for mounting. It's a process, but at least the CCS stitching is done! The January motif was gifted for Christmas, and the February and March motifs are ready. I'll be mailing one a month to DGD to place on her calendar.

Here are the completed fairies with the exception of the January fairy which was given to DGD for Christmas. Now to stay on top of actually mailing her one every month! LOL
