Such a beautiful design, no doubt your OH will love it!

And although you've said you've not had much time to work on it, you've still progressed well :applesauce: Will be exciting to see the full eagle appear before our very eyes

I take no credit for this one. :D Hubby actually pointed it out when we were dating....We can just blame it on him! I knew I had to do this one when I saw it because DH loves eagles. I have to restrain myself from buying more eagles to stitch. I really don't want a house full of eagles. :)

Charmagne, that's always the way it is around here. Luckily, my daughter is handling being at home without her brother better this week so she isn't glued to my hip. Other than normal errands, I've had more time to work on it. Plus, I guess I have to look on the bright side of hubby having to work all weekend...I can work on this during the day all weekend. Of course, I'm so close to having Footprints done... :thinks:

Here's the update for this week. Hubby has been working late a lot of nights, so I've had to split my time between this one and Footprints so he didn't start wondering why I wasn't working on Footprints. Him working late gives me the opportunity to work on it until either dinner time or when I get the kids ready for bed. The eagle is done on the page I'm working on (1 of 4 pages) so I've started the half stitch background. I've decided to work each page instead of doing the whole eagle so I'm not moving the fabric a lot.

I know what you mean. My other half loves sunflowers. Yeah, they're nice enough but you can have too many stitched pictures of them ...

The eagle's looking great, btw.

I'll try to post pics Monday. I haven't worked on it much in the last week. DH has been home early every night (which is a nice change). Had 2 close calls this week of kids nearly telling DH about the project. My 5 year old son asked me why I wasn't working on the eagle one evening when I started working on the fractal. Luckily I had been showing him pics of patterns on my to do list and one is an eagle for him. I told him that I would be starting it after a couple of other projects. My daughter started to mention something to DH the other day, and I thought my son was going to have a heart attack. I had to stop him from over reacting so DH wouldn't think anything about it. Hopefully DH still doesn't suspect anything... and the kids have to keep the secret for only 3 more months!
