You asked Paul 2 questions and he answered you.

1) you asked why do not get a notification when a post on the thread is made. Paul says he does not know why you are not getting notified.

Answer: If you want a notification you have to subscribe to the post and then the forum will send you a notification.

2) you asked what his new project is and Paul said he has a new SAL with his new project in it.

Ok I have good news and bad news. This has now been made into a scroll!!!

Image

Bad news is.... I don't have a wall big enough to display it on. I can't even lay it out to take a full picture. So now what do I do?!?

I had finished the cross stitch part but it had not been made into a scroll to display it. Now it is and ready to hang up.

Paul what are the finished dimensions?????? Could it maybe fit on a door, or is it to wide??? It is sad that you do not have a nice wall space for it. :thinks: :thinks:

 I love the choice for the edge binding, along with the large tassel. Perfection.
Could you put it on your ceiling, not flat against but draped in a couple of places, like Aladdin's carpet? It could still be enjoyed in its whole. Not sure what your decor is, although I do remember the ruby slippers. It might be a funky addition that way and be on display for all who visit to enjoy.

First, I love the large tassels and the trim you've chosen for the edging.

I'm not sure how many feet 'tall' it is, or how high your ceilings are, but since it's a scroll, could you hang it with some of it rolled up and then after awhile, roll it on the other end to show what was hidden before for a different look? And if someone is interested in seeing all of it, would it be a pain to unroll the whole for them to see and then roll it back up just leaving enough visible from ceiling to floor? :thinks: :thinks: It's a shame to not be able to display it after all of that beautiful hard work,

Do you have stairs? if so there is usually one wall thats a really long drop it might fit on? otherwise my idea would be hang it from the middle of the ceiling going back towards a wall then have something in lace to hook the edges upo and let the rest come down the wall but whatever you decide for it its brilliant and a great choice of edging to finish it off :) :applesauce:

Well, Paul, I am a little behind in my congratulations. Your piece is wonderful. As have so many before already said. The edging and tassels are a nice touch. Enjoy! :applesauce: :applesauce:

I'm ashamed to say, this is now rolled up and living in my wardrobe I don't have a wall big enough to display. I really should have thought it through before I made it this big ooopppssss

I was thinking about this project today and realized in my crazy toddler life I missed this last year. Now I'm wondering if Paul ever got it displayed! Would love to see it in it's full glory after it was made into the scroll.

Well I haven't been on here for ages!

Sadly this is still waiting to be put up on the wall BUT I have found a place that it will fit... just!!

Need to drill holes in the wall and I'm no good with power tools. Needle and thread I can do but power tools.... No
