I'm new to the forum and so excited to find you! I recently picked up cross-stitching again after many years away (not sure why it took me so long). I went into a local yarn/needlepoint shop, and they said "no one cross-stitches any more." I'm so glad to find out they were wrong! Anyway, I ordered a kit online and am happily stitching away. It's more complicated than I've done before, but I love the colors and intricacy. (It's Aurora Cabin from Dimensions.)

I love all your posts, questions, replies, etc. When I stitched before, there was no internet, so it's great to see photos and learn from the online community. Thank you!

By the way, does anyone know what happened to Albastitcher from Scotland? I found her blog and was catching up on reading it when it suddenly said saw she moved it, but the link to the new blog says it doesn't exist and the name is available. If you know where her blog is, can you please post it? I'll search here also. Thanks again!

Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I've also heard that "no one cross stitches any more", but I would guess that all the online suppliers of designs, supplies, kits etc which are for cross stitching must make their money from someone. And all the FB and other forums/groups etc. There is so much more available than when I started stitching it is amazing to me. But I do agree that there is a sad reduction in the number of LNS available to many of us. So I am very glad that you found us and don't have to be alone any more!

I hope you will post pictures of your progress. We love pictures! And that is one of the loveliest designs to stitch. Looking forward to getting to know you.
