Seems clear to me she is protecting you, by making sure that no one gets to see one of your designs without being part of the SAL. Sitting on or in front of charts seems to me to be a favorite feline pastime.

Ooooh that Moonglow really pops on the blue fabric, doesn't it - gorgeous! It almost looks luminescent (is that a word? I mean as though it gives light). Can I please take the picture for the Gallery please?
Here's my own white on blue version - the reverse of yours in a way, in that the thread is plain white DMC perle, but the fabric is hand-dyed: Sparklies 22ct Hardanger in the shade Ocean Depths
Both are beautiful!!! Love the stitching and the fabrics!

Absolutely gorgeous Serinde and I love Mabel's version too. Great to see other colour schemes.
I was in my favourite haberdashery shop today and almost got loose amongst the beautiful variegated wools they have at present, however I came out with the bits and bobs I went in for plus a lovely little magnifier which can clip onto your work Very neat.

Wow such beautiful pieces of stitching well done everyone who has finished already.
You are giving me some ideas of which threads to buy as when I looked in my stash I have nothing at all that works lol so I was going to wait, however I need a birthday card and decided to use the design but just in threads of the right thickness ignoring the light and dark elements .
I am not finished yet but I'm
A. Amazed at how much I feel I have missed this kind of stitching and
B. Totally Amazed by not being able to see 25 count material without my magnifyer now, when we did the first Mabel SAL as long as I had my normal glasses on I could see no problem.
Getting older sucks lol
Downloaded it after renewing my NZ passport online- with DD help. An interesting design Mabel, love the herringbone stitch my mum taught me to do almost 70 years ago as she was doing some around the hem of my baby sister's new nightgown. So it will bring back memories.
Must go downstairs after lunch and hunt out the threads I want to use - certainly very little #5 perle as I am not fond of chunky.
Thank you MAbel for the memories and for an interesting design to do

Square filets and wrapped bars in the centre give a fantastic lacy look....Nice One!

The Kloster blocks are DMC 52 the darker variegated in the rest of it is Presencia Finka 9500 and the Light one is Presencia Finka 9480
The bars are in an unknown brand perle 12 - just for a change of scene.
Thanks for looking.
