This is looking just amazing! The colours are so brilliant.

I hope the move goes well and the months fly past so you can soon work on this again. :)

Beautiful update - I can see the eagle's wings forming! I love everything about this, so I hope you can get back to it soon. Good luck with the move.

My thoughts exactly! I love the way that the 'ghost eagle' is still outlined by the beautiful background. :D
I had the same thoughts also. And I was struck by the "ghost eagle" also. Shows how perfectly the surrounding stitching is!

You're making me want to pull mine out and work on it again. I think my WIP of this is as old as yours. Great work! :applesauce:

It's a superb design...I looked at the kit for it but it's beyond my budget at the moment! I promised myself Not to buy any more kits this year....I've a drawer full of 'must-do's'

This is a beautiful project, love the colours, they are so unusual. Very neatly stitched too. It is good you can now see the shape of the eagle but well done for doing so much of it recently & look forward to seeing it again. :applesauce: :applesauce: :whoop: :D

Good luck with your move & hope you will be very happy in your new home :D

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I hope I will be able to continue on it in my "spare time" still over the next few months. I will try to update you when there is more progress.

Busy B, I would love to see your project. Perhaps if we are working on it together, we can motivate each other to keep going.

We move this weekend and very excited for it. It is a big step up from our current location. We hope it is a place we can stay in too for a couple of decades. :)

I'd love to if I had the time! I still have a model I'm trying to finish and teaching is crazy right now! I think I've had 4 hours of stitching in the last 4-5 months. It won't get any better any time soon--long story! :ratherbe:

It has been four very busy months since my last update. But it went pretty much as I expected in my last post. At the beginning of February 2016 we moved into our new house. We were in a townhouse in town previously but now we are on the hillside in a single detached home with a great view. I tried to take a picture here for you, but this picture doesn't do it justice. We can see for miles across the valley and we get beautiful sunset views as it sets behind the mountains on the other side of the valley. We do look down on a few yards but at least we aren't looking up at them. 8) We have great neighbours and everyone is so friendly and want to chat. We are very much enjoying it.

After the move, we were off for 5 days to Ontario to see my nephew get married. The bride really wanted to have snow on her wedding day. The weather had been great for months so it wasn't looking like she was going to get her wish. However, just on the day of the wedding they got a dump of snow and have some amazing pictures she wanted with it. While we were there, our little family got very sick, all four of us, one at a time. It was some sort of bug that hit you very hard for a few hours and then you suddenly felt better but the beating it toke on your body left you feeling weak for a few days afterwards.

After that, life got boring as we got into tax session and pulling very long hours for the next three months to get all the work done, but we survived again.

The last couple of weeks I have finally had time to sit down, take the eagle off the shelf (as I predicted) and get some progress on it again. I haven't gotten that much further since the last time, but after the four months, I wanted to give you some update. The sky is now completely done as I continue to work down on the right side. You can now see the mountain tops forming on this side as well. I am still leaving the eagle for last and I am hoping the next update will show the eagle completely surrounded with stitches so you can see the whole silhouette. Right now there is about 4/5 of it framed in with the scenery. Just the tail feathers and the bottom need to be done yet.

What a lovely view of the mountains! Doesn't matter that the foreground has houses when your distant view is so great!

I loved this Dimensions Silent Flight before when you showed us....It's going to look fantastic on the wall of your new home. :whoop:

The picture is turning out nicely & the view from your house is spectacular. When at the top of our garden we can also see all the way across our shallow but steep little valley - about 400 yards! Your view is much, much nicer.

Regards,

Richard.

What ambition! I love this design and have it myself, definitely on the list down the line!

I also love to see the different ways people tackle their projects, everyone is so different. The sky looks amazing in this one but I would have started with the eagle; I don't know how you've not tempted seeing his outline :P. What a great job though, keep it up!
