Hey Guys!

Post by aleksandra.sonja »

Just wanted to introduce myself since I hope to be really active on this forum (hopefully) :D I rediscovered my love for stitching after figuring out that I can't watch a movie without doing something at the same time. I started when I was a kid living in Iceland since we had stitiching, knitting etc. in school. I'm in Dublin now and I've taken up stitching again and I love it! :D
After going through this forum I realised I've still got a lot to learn so I can't wait to see what everyone is doing!

Welcome to this little corner of the net.

I do just the same as you when sitting down. When with the family watching (or really listening to) the TV I have got to be doing something. 2hrs a night... that's 600 hours a year totally wasted if your hands aren't doing anything. I now sit down & reach for the cross stitch frame, and sometimes I can even pick it up before my lap is infested with a cat.

I envy you growing up in Iceland. I have had the pleasure of visiting once, in 1988, for 10 days at the end of June. Went on a camping safari in the south of the country with a small bus full of other lunatics. Absolutely unforgettable.

Regards,

Richard

Yeah, growing up in Iceland was amazing! I really loved it there. Its such a unique place to visit as well. :D

Well I haven't done many projects. I got a yellow labrador kit back in England and gave it to my cousin since she has a lab. I'll put up a picture when I go and visit. I also love Disney characters and have tried making my own designs but I need to find a good computer program since I do them all on paper and it takes ages :D I'll check out the topic on programs on this forum and see what you guys think.
