Thank you Amanda.

Everything's coming up roses. Done all pink ones. White one go down right hand side. Glad I don't have to spray this lot for aphids & black spot! Smaller white ones to do & slightly more stitches in each of the green shades but think I will start at bottom of this section & work my way upwards after a bit more of the roof is done. Got a touch of vertigo up there. @rotfl:

Thank you for looking :)

Re: Fragrant tranquility - Riolis - update 22/4

Post by lavenderbee »

Another weeks work done so this is the picture after 4 weeks of stitching. I know the photo is a little on a slant but the difference in the shades shows up better in this picture. The colours I see are a little brighter than shown here, a lovely colourful project despite all the greens. Different greens to do on the lower half with lawn & flowers. Thank you for looking :D

Thank you all for your kind words. This is a nice project to stitch, relaxing. I particularly like how they have shaded the windows. The roses really do stand out on the left hand side & as Wendy said I can almost smell them  . The darkest green is almost black & the next colour is a shade up from that, so very little difference until you see the threads side by side. Did emerald green stitching last night as done 2 nights mostly dark green. Need to change to some white tonight I think. I was a bit dubious when I started this as I have not done a project of this make before but as I said earlier, I have 2 more of theirs in my stash & they look lovely too. Will not start a third project tho, even if it is very tempting.

I will do a few more nights on this project but think I must give it a rest soon & go back to Overlook Cafe for a change, just for a few weeks.
When I have finished one of these 2 projects I will start the Maria Diaz Dolphin chart I bought & downloaded a few months ago. That is to be a Christmas present & have realised I must start that about July /August. Should have on one these completed by then. :)

Re: Fragrant tranquility - Riolis - as at 24th April

Finished for this evening so here it is at COS (close of stitching) tonight. Have finished trellis on right & all white roses, 20 done tonight. Some only one stitch tho. Highest are very top r. hand of roof where 2 staggered sets of 2 stitches are. It is difficult to see many of the roses at the moment but they'll show up once more greenery is stitched. Decided to climb back down to terra firma after being up on the roof so am going to go back to Overlook Cafe for a while

Thank you for looking. :)
