On the left I have only back stitched the face. On the right the beard, bag, hat, mittens, coat etc. have been back stitched. I think it makes a difference.

Large salad spinners are great for cleaning craft projects! I must remember to save more clip hangers while my son is in children sizes.

Stretch mounting over foam was new for me and I finished once only to realize it was "of" so when I did the work the second time I added a stitched line at the edge I could use to center the work while stretching.

Switching tacks for beading pins...

I decided not to cut the canvas. I folded it under the board and fit everything into the frame.

Finished! Complete!
I would like to design and complete one design each month.

My next design will involve dinosaurs and will be much larger. It will be a birth record for my September nephew. I will start stitching the birth record for my August nephew immediately. I will design one project while my son is in therapy and I will stitch the other project when we watch television. I like to keep busy.

Maybe I should plan my design and stitching deadlines on square inches or number of stitches? A 9"x12" design has 108 square inches. My 5"x7" Santa only had 35 square inches. So maybe two or even three months is a more reasonable timeline?
