Yes, I am glad all that is done with now, but lesson learned I am going to sort ALL my stuff now - I have just got too much of it.

Love the stitching and the kitchen. Both are my favorite activities.  Stitching and baking/cooking!

And I think the recipes section has been a bit neglected of late. Now that we are nearing fall (my absolute favorite season of all), maybe we should post some nice good comfort food recipes. I know we have a host of wonderful cooks in here. Agi, I remember your gylyas recipe. Is it still in there? I'm heading back over there to refresh my memory of what's in there.

Thanks carolyn.

Yes I've just been over to the Stitchers Cookbook and I remember now I was going to try Agi's recipe. I must admit, my cooking has been getting a little boring. When I was putting my cookery books back, DH said did I really need all those books to tell me how to cook lamb chops.  Another thing on my 'To Sort' list.

You're welcome. I love getting new cook books. My dear MIL gets me a new one every Christmas/birthday. Last year she gave me a book of baking that is wonderful and a huge cookbook that features great recipes based on old comfort -stick to your bones (or hips and backside)- types of food. Real food, no "light", "fat-free" or "calorie conscious" recipes to be found. Now I know that we do have to be careful, but this is the kind of food I grew up on. That same era that was relative to the lifestyles that were mentioned in another thread regarding growing up in the 40's, 50's and 60's. Before food was an enemy. Yummy! I've got the rolls and plumpness to show for it.

The sepia picture is so effective. I personally like to see several of this type of picture together. What are the other ones in the series like?

Well I am quite a bit better now, although I'm not ready to do much typing yet so I am still lurking on here quite a bit :shifty: I am loving seeing what everyone is doing.

I have been able to do a little bit of stitching and have done this and I am planning on getting back to my sepia picture this evening.

A bit miffed that I didn't try and get the creases out before stitching
