Haven't forgotten you all

Post by sapphire »

Been busy since home from holiday. Was volunteering in a charity shop 3 mornings a week, cut down to 2 last week but as it is busy season they asked f I would do the extra morning again until school hols are over - so will be back on here in September. I know 2 mornings a week will be fine.

Heat has stopped me stitching, been knitting instead, just dig/cat blankets, nothing fancy. Very tempting helping in the charity shop as so many lovely things come in. Have accumulated few more floral kits as well as scenic cross stitch kits  Do not need any more & have made a rule if I bring something home I have to take something in next time I'm in the shop.

Thought I put a post up in last couple of days but it appears not to be here. I knw I went to amend it & as Internet is intermittent this weather, it must have disappeared into space. or wherever Internet posts & emails go.

Look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Maddie :)

Nice to see you again, life does have a habit of getting in the way sometimes, don't worry if you haven't been able to come on for a few days/weeks/months (or in my case years  ) you'll soon get back into the swing of things.

Sounds like you have your hands full with the Charity shop volunteering.

Maybe when you editing you previous post the Internet had one of those glitches, or maybe it just plain swallowed your post and it disappeared into what I call The Blackhole Of The Internet.

Life sure keeps us all busy doesn't it and being busy at the charity shop 3 days a week sure makes a hole in the stitching time. It will be good when you don't have to do the 3 days though. See you in September which is so very close now.

Don't you worry. Life is like that (and we won't discuss the terrible creature that resides in the Black Hole of the Internet gobbling up all unwary online traffic!).

I keep disappearing too. Just come back from UK today. I've been so occupied with the sale of my dad's house that my knitting and Stitching has been neglected. :tantrum: I took something small to do whilst I was there and it didn't see the light of day :tizzy:

Anyway no need to worry about not being here, life does take over quite frequently.

Life is like that Maddie & looking forward to seeing you soon. Amazing how one minute your OK with everything & the next minute you are up to your eyes in it.

Wendy glad you are back OK. Hoe your journeys were not too hot & not many delays. People have been waiting hours to get from here to anywhere. The heat plays havoc with all types of mobility, including my knees

It is exciting to get some new kits from the Charity shop! I always check if they have any in, when I pass a Charity shop :D
There will be plenty of time in the winter to stitch. Glad to see you and Wendy back :D

It was quite warm in UK! We started out on the South Coast with the benefit of Sea Breezes....Like Mable I do Miss the sea!!

Further north near Sherwood forest Was Warmer! But the benefit of seeing daughter and our grandchildren far outweighed the heat! :whoop: :whoop:

We sat outside in the evenings, something we can't do here because of the MOSQUITOES!! :tantrum: :tantrum: and played Loud Music!!

Don't worry...DD has no near neighbours so no Noise Pollution.

The motorways and the Airports were quieter than I've know for a long time so even the travel was fine! :applesauce:

I always look in charity shops & junk shops for fountain pens, hoping for a bargain, or failing that - just something.
I have only ever seen one, a seriously worn chased black hard rubber Mentmore from the late 1920's worth £10-15 being sold for £55. Ah well.

Regards,

Richard.
