Sorted out

Post by country lass »

my stash, something that needed doing! Several pretty charts I have put in wallets along with threads needed & the Aida so all ready when I want a new project.

At the moment am going to start the cute M Sherry dog one. After persevering with Lakeside Village felt I'd like to do something frivolous before I go back to that again.

Thankfully much cooler now, some days very windy but at least not that stifling heat. Ducks/geese flying to colder climates now so autumn definitely on its way. Nights drawing in a bit too. Swifts, swallows been gone a few weeks. Still plenty of holidaymakers here, will be like until end of September.

Hope those of you in foreign places are not having the extreme weather we see on the news. Read Sally's post about farmers down under. Truly awful for those with herds of cattle.

I'm glad you're back and sorted out, personally I hate the feeling when I have nothing on the go.

The Pink-Footed Geese are still over on Parkgate on the Wirral I believe, well I know I have heard them in the mornings as they fly south to wherever they spend the day and then again in the evening when they return to overnight at Parkgate, and oh my god, are they noisy! And when the seagulls are in with the tide too, the noise is unbelieveable, I have been known to take my hearing aids out til they have gone over.

The Magpies are getting to be more of a nuisance, there is one hopping about with half a broken bracelet dangling from it's beak and it looks so funny, I would have thought it would have flown back to it's nest, but no, it keeps hopping and strutting along our little street.

The Housemartins are almost fully fledged now, I love seeing the tiny birds grow and take to the wing.

There's something quite relaxing about sorting out! You find all sorts of things that either you had forgotten or didn't appeal at the time!

I also like to sort my stash from time to time. Makes one take this world easier. In a word, "Calm down and sort your stash" to me.

This sorting also gives inspiration(correct word?) and desire to start a new project there and then, does it not?

Thanks for replies :)

Garnet, sounds pretty noisy with all those birds honking, calling & mewing at the same time. Seagulls are a pain aren't they, often think a cat is mewing somewhere but it is the gulls. Neighbour has 3 cats although they are not usually noisy, often wonder if they've got stuck somewhere or hurt paw/leg when I hear mewing, so always look outside. The gulls keep me on my toes some days

Yes it is good to sort out as often it gives you motivation to start something new & you rediscover old items. Relaxing too.
