White wreath FRAMED

Post by mauveme »

Started a larger wreath, all in white on blue laguna. I am beginning to enjoy stitching again. as long as I don't think I'm in a race. lol. Just doing what I am comfortable with ( either just an hour or three or so). If I don't feel like stitching it's not the end of the world, I can do it tomorrow or the next day. I can't stitch fast anymore, I have trouble feeling the needle in my left hand and keep dropping it, I don't let that bother me as much. I have to stitch with two hands to keep from moving my right shoulder and that makes a huge difference. So, here is the start of the bow of the wreath.

That's a lovely start and :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: you for having such a sensible and relaxed attitude towards it - "do what you enjoy, and stop when you stop enjoying it" seems a good approach to a hobby :-) !

This is a beautiful start. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

It sounds like you have a great plan for your future stitching, this wonderful hobby of ours is meant to be for pleasure, not a race or cause us pain, so I am so glad you have worked out something that will work for you.

White on Blue always looks elegant in my humble opinion. I stitched a Heart of Roses in white on blue fabric and I think it worked, it's in my gallery if that's ok to post, can a mod remove it if it's not ok please

Really looking forward to your updates on this elegant piece.

A beautiful start :applesauce: :applesauce: yes that is a very sensible idea to do what you feel like. A hobby should never feel like a chore.

I totally agree about your programme for stitching - we do what we can how we can and leave it alone when it is not a great idea. Very sensible and something we all come to sooner or later I am sure.

I love this one and it is going to be so beautiful and elegant. An Excellent Start Linda.

I already like the "movement" of the white stitching. Well done! :applesauce:
You have a great attitude to your stitching. I sometimes feel that I am chasing the wind, not managing any stitching at all. It frustrates me but you are right. We should stitch when we can and enjoy when we do it. :D

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: The bow all by itself makes a beautiful picture. The wreath is going to be lovely, I am sure. Looking forward to lots of updates!

Holly hanna it's hot. And very humid. Did a little last night and more this aft, but that's it for today, the heat seems to ratchet up in the evening and you can smell the steamy air, it's like a sauna. Good news is two day reprieve from the heat and humidity tomorrow.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Beautiful progress. And I also think white on white is very elegant. Looks like a snow covered wreath which should help you to feel cooler when stitching.

This is lovely. :applesauce:

Oh, and I should reassure stitchers that the Magic Bench now comes equipped with a fan, with just enough air movement to facilitate stitching in hot, sticky weather but not enough to blow thread across the porch. :wip:
