Favorite or Softest Evenweave?
What is your favorite even-weave staple? I'm looking for a nice white or off-white that's soft. I'm definitely open to suggestions.

I use a lot of Lugana, whichis a cotton mix and quite soft, but for reeeeeeally soft get Jobelan

Re: Favorite or Softest Evenweave?
I agree with Mabel about Jobelan. It's really smooth and has a slightly shiny appearance. Saying that I have yet to stitch on mine as I mostly use Lugana and Linda evenweave but it is definitely softer than those two.

Re: Favorite or Softest Evenweave?
As Mabel says. Although most fabric will get very soft after the sizing has been washed out of it. A stiffer fabric is easier to stitch (and stretch to frame), but will soften with use if that's its function.Mabel Figworthy wrote: for reeeeeeally soft get Jobelan

I just love Lugana 28 Count.
I am stitching my Angel of the Morning on it and it is a pleasure to work on.

I too prefer Lugana because it seems easier to handle.

I love natural linen it might not be the softest option but as I always use my qsnaps or a hoop to pull the fabric really tight I don't mind.
