We did indeed visit the Guinness Storehouse!! I poured my pint of the Dark Brew with it's creamy top and gained my certificate. Then D/H (with his freshly poured pint ) went up to the 7th floor to the Panoramic fully glazed viewing deck and looked out over the city.
Then a boat trip on the River Liffey .We saw the Book of Kells which was incredible. Had an Irish night with a good meal, fantastic singing and dancing. Visited Jameson's Distillery and the fantastic Tall ship the Jeanie Johnstone.
Managed a bit of shopping in Grafton Street and rode the trams.
Not a drop of rain fell onto our heads and we ate wonderful food.
We hope to be back again in the not too distant future and plan to see more of your wonderful
EMERALD ISLE
no need for a hire car when we are there. Easy Peasy, lots to see, plenty of walking (comfy shoes already packed) The hotel is pretty well central and just does bed and breakfast so more opportunity to try the local grub! (food)
