We can definitely see a squirrel's tail! Well done, Sally: a great start, especially in the heat.

Well done, Sally! You've made a great start on Mr. Squirrel despite the heat.
Oh, and don't worry about a few misplaced stitches. No one will ever notice!
Thank You all for your kind words. I am making slow progress with this lovely design but it is so dratted hot and humid that I give up by early afternoon and go read a book sitting under the overhead fan There will be a progress picture when I finish Squirrel # 1.

Happy stitching! I admire you for stitching even when it's hot. Hope you've got a nice lake or river where you can jump in (crocodile-free) when it gets too much.
The designer is really great, all their pieces make a very realistic impression.
Sadly Karen the heat is expected to head up another few degrees the rest of the week and weekend but may ease later next week. We are heading into the usually hottest month of the year (February) so it is a case of learning to live with the low 30's so when it heats up one hopefully copes better with it.
Thankfully the front balcony is in the shade and as the ocean is about 10min by car away - we get a lovely onshore breeze most days. Makes it more liveable.
I will be heading out there as soon as I hang my washing out.

Well it is slower going than I thought it would be plus the summer heat and humidity temps over 30 every day now although we did have 0.5 mm of rain overnight '
You can now see Mr Squirrels rail and lower leg/hip and some of his front beginning to show up now. Enjoy.

Ooohh Sally you have made great progress despite the heat His front is coming through and the designer has captured the definition of the legs/hips so well.
Your stitching is so beautifully neat and even as always.

Great update indeed.
How you managed to stitch in all the heat, I don't know.
You can clearly see his shape. Well done, Sally
