Do any of the long-standing members remember Gary Parr? He did those intricate"quilt blocks" in needlepoint. Well, he now does a fibre art podcast called Fiber Talk and has just interviewed Mabel for the one to be published on Sunday week

- very exciting! (Not sure yet whether I really want to hear myself talk for nearly an hour though...)

Squeeeee!!! I'm definitely tuning in (and I do remember Gary Parr).

And by the way, where have I been that I've missed that site? It looks so interesting! Trying to see if one can subscribe, but can't see where...

and of course you should listen to your podcast. I'm sure you will sound just fine. I'm so glad that you are getting the recognition that your talent and skill should be receiving.

Very at ease, we just had a lovely chat about stitching

and found at the end of an hour that we hadn't covered everything, so there may be a part 2.

Thanks Wendy - I admit it sounded rather odd hearing myself talk!

Carole, the Fiber Talk website/podcast is actually produced and hosted on your side of the pond

so just click on the link (the word "talk" in my post) and you should be good to go.

DH and I just listened to the entire interview and found it really interesting. DH had to smile when you mentioned at the end, how we tend to point mistakes when showing our work. You were very generous in mentioning our Forum. Lots of food for thoughts in this Podcast. I like the parallel you drew between playing golf or going to the cinema and stitching, the process is the important part.

I do like a larger project myself as I see it as a journey. In fact, I hide behind the frame of my finished work, a little piece of paper stating why I chose this project and what happened in life while it was being stitched.

Thank you for posting the link. It was a brilliant podcast.
