Richard - these are in pots as our soil is so poor, maybe pots with general compost would work in your garden?
I am amazed anything came up at all this year as most bulbs I planted started growing in November and I knew it was far too early and the frosts would get the new shoots, which it did in one pot, however .......
I thought I had planted 15 Crocus in each of the large pots, but obviously I hadn't

as there are now 28 Crocuses with the Daffodils and still the Bluebells to come in April.
The Daffodils don't usually bloom so early in this part of north Wales, despite them being the national flower of Wales and us wearing them on 1st March - St. Davids Day, so that's why I decided to knit and crochet the Daffodils so I would definitely have one to wear in case there were none in bloom in the shops either, and then my own bloom early!
