Valerie Pfeiffer 'Sweet Pea posy'

Post by Nicola Main »

So I was planning on stitching the Magic Needle 'Rosa Canina' (see new acquisitions thread) but the kit hasn't arrived yet! So I've decided to start the Valerie Pfeiffer sweet pea posy and it's lovely! Stitching on white Charles Craft 28ct evenweave. Usually an aida lady so this could be interesting......

I love Sweet Peas and their perfume and the design is a pretty one of them. You have made an excellent start and I am sure you will soon get used to working over 2 threads on the evenweave. :)

Such a lovely design and you've made a great start on it!
I'm also sure you'll get used to the evenweave in no time. I used to be too afraid to use it and now I change most of my kits' aida to linen.

I love Sweet Peas too, they are so delicate yet have such a lovely fragrance.

Well done Nicola!

Lovely start!! I'm another who thought stitching over 2 threads would be hard, but I surprised myself. Didn't take long to adjust at all and now most everything I stitch is on evenweaves and linen, either 1 over 1 (HAEDs) or 2 over 2 (everything else). Looking forward to your updates!
