Thanks everyone I had a lovely day even though I was at work. I have been thoroughly spoilt by my friends and family and even got a stitchy present. A super size HAED called japan garden.

A Wonderfully HAPPY BIRTHDAY VANESSA.


I have had a wonderful elongated birthday. My dear daughter Jenny and her hubby Phil arranged for Jenny to take me to see the Bolshoi Ballet which is currently in Brisbane. A fabulous afternoon in a huge threater with our seats at the halfway mark both across long rows and vertically so we could see all the stage area. The Ballet was called Jewells and was 3 short separate ballets of about 45 min with a short interval to change scenery and costumes etc. The Jewelles in order were Emerald, Ruby, (incidentally it is July's birthstone) and Diamond. Lots of bling etc. absolutely fabulous.
A memorable afternoon out preceeded by a lovely lunch at the Art Complex in the central city.
Yesterday started with an expected very early visit from youngest son whom we hadn't seen or heard from for some time. He works nights and came straight from work on at least 2 trains plus a short bus ride. Amazing surprise. I also heard from my other 3 boys during the day plus friends from various parts of the world and still it goes on via FB.
A truly memorable 83rd birthday.
