OK, something I've never figured out:
What are the differences between the various evenweave fabrics.
I currently have cashel, linda, verdal in various counts, and these seem to fit the patterns I'm stitching, - I'm guessing it's a matter of fabric make up - percentage of cotton/polyester etc? Is linen worth the extra price in terms of finished work?
What are your favourite fabrics?

Re: Evenweave
Yes, most of these are a matter of the "make-up" of the fabric - although some (especially Zweigart) are complicated by the fact that one type of fabric may have different names depending solely on the count. So Zweigart's cotton/modal mix is called Murano (32ct), Brittney (28ct), Lugana (25ct), Bellana (20ct) and Davosa (18ct), although some shops just call them all Lugana with the count added; and Zweigart's linens go from Kingston (55ct) via Newcastle (40ct), Edinburgh (35ct), Belfast (32ct), Cashel (28ct) and Dublin (25ct) to Cork (20ct).
As for the question whether linen is worth it, well, you say you've got some Cashel which is a linen, so try a small project on it and see what you think!

Re: Evenweave
Thanks Mabel, and of course you're correct, the Cashel is much nicer to work - as ever, one gets what one pays for.
