Thank you all for your kind comments. Now is the time when the magic of stitching really amazes me. When the actual design is clear and you can recognize what you think you are stitching is what you are stitching. I know it will happen every time, and yet it delights me when I can finally see it.

Well done Carol these are going to be lovely gifts. I agree the baby shower can happen anytime, as long as mother and baby are safe. we had to cancel our Golden Wedding Anniversary lunch and although disappointed, brothers were coming From Ireland. at the end of the day as long as we all get through this it can happen any time.
Getting closer all the time. There is a baby. This won't be finished by the time of the virtual shower (this Saturday) but I think it will be close enough that I am sending a picture of this one and the finished piece (parents and baby hands) to my niece. Thank you all for your comments and encouragement. As much as I love stitching these, the continuous monotone colors are getting to me. And I have one more to go.
Thanks for looking.

As your niece will already have one picture and knows about the others, would you stitch a little card ( or start a new project on the side?) just for a bit of colour before coming back to this lovely one?

That really is a wonderful project Carole and you are going well with it. I can understand the drag of just using those dark shades does get difficult but the result is totally amazing.

Beautiful. I know what you mean about colour. The Nativity picture I am working on if very light colours. I need to switch to a picture with bright and bold or I go a bit crazy.

Good idea poppy!! As for the monotone colors, I can relate Carole, the eagle I am working on has a vast amount of monotone colors in it, so I just take it a little at a time!! Fantastic update on it!!

As of today the BABY is here!!! So this update is especially special. I was just getting ready to write this when my sister called to say I am now a great aunt.
What is left of this design is Mom's arm around the baby.
Thank you for looking.
