A Hardanger Cushion.. Gone to it's New Home!

Post by wendywombat »

Our lovely Post Lady has just retired and she has been so kind and friendly over all the years we have been here that i wanted to make her a Gift!

I found on Lakeside Needlecraft a Hardanger design and at the time wanted to stitch it, then thought what a nice Gift this would make.

Image

It's stitched using Ecru #5 and #8 Perle threads on a pale sage green Hardanger fabric. I backed it with cream silk and trimmed it with fine cream cotton lace.
It's only about 8" square so just a bit of Fancy Deco. :D

That is gorgeous Wendy, a lovely gift. I haven't done any hardanger lately - must rectify that.
