You have stitched this one beautifully too and once the b/sis done it will really 'pop out' of the screen.
Well Done.
I do hope that all is well with you again,

What a happy, wonderful stocking, Roland! You cannot help smiling at the happy faces of the snowmen. The backstitch made it from" beautifully stitched" to a real work of art and fun too.

Both stockings were made for adults. I included a card I made with this written in it.
This has been a strange year. We have had to cancel plans, and stay away from those we love. Masks have become not just a health requirement, but a fashion statement.
We have found ways to laugh about it (thank you YouTube and TikTok). And we’ve found ways to keep ourselves busy, taking online classes, learning a new craft, or in my case, spending way to many hours on an old one.
These stockings, I consider Pandemic Stockings. The lock down resulted in a lot more stitching time. But it also meant being creative in finding ways to get supplies. Sometimes I substituted. Sometimes I worked around an area until a store would finally get what I needed in stock. Once, I drove to Whitby to get what was not available here.
Museums are collecting masks to put on display years from now. But I doubt they will include information of how difficult it was to buy craft supplies or tools.
I think all the stockings that Xxx and I have made over the years are special. But these two share this special history. I hope they bring you many years of joy and that Santa always fills them.
Roland, your insert is perfect and describes exactly what a lot of us have been doing in one way or another. I do hope that Santa always fills them, too!
If I could quote (and I could but would take up way too much room ) every one of the posts above, they would more than describe how great these stockings are and even more, your insert. These are beautiful and will be cherished.
