Those are the happiest serpent faces I've ever seen. This is so beautiful.
I went from wooden hoops to plastic hoops to Q-snaps to Morgan (I think?) plastic no slip hoops and wooden hoops. The Morgan (?) no slip hoops seem to be the best. For now.

That hoop is plastic is it? I had a plastic round hoop for a while. Didn't hold the fabric as tightly as a wooden one so it went to the Charity shop!
It is plastic, and very thin and lightweight, which is the best thing about it. I’ve had very little luck with wooden hoops.

I’ve used this Nurge, wooden hoops (see my comment above), spring hoops, regular plastic hoops,Q-Snaps, Clover hoops, and the Morgan hoops. Morgan is definitely my favorite. I do like Q-Snaps, but really only when I can completely fit the entire design area in the Q-Snap. I find them difficult to remove (and one even tore a hole in my fabric eeeeekkkkk!). I like the tautness of the fabric in the Q-Snap, but I can come almost as close with the Morgan hoops. I like that they are substantial enough to hold one of my clip on lights/magnifiers. For big projects, I still prefer scroll frames or stretcher bars where I can see the entire piece of fabric, or at least the entire width.

Beautiful!! I bet it's not that easy to stop stitching. I can hear myself saying, "just one more little section and then I'll stop"

Yep! I can relate to that..." Just finish this green area" when stitching trees!
About the hoops, I've got lots of Nurge wooden hoops (including some "deep" ones) and they are really good - what a shame theplastic ones don't live up to that.
This was my stopping point last night. I am loving this design so much!
Carole and Wendy, you must have been reading my mind last night. I was actually saying, just one more length of green…okay, and one more…
Mabel, I think maybe the Nurge hoops and I just don’t get along. I have friends who absolutely love them, but I find I get more tautness with my Morgan hoops, and it’s much faster to get the fabric in the Morgan hoop.

I’ve put my Angel of Love away for a little while while I work on my serpent. This is where I finished last night. It’s been really nice spending time with him again.
