Only in France a Garlic Breathing Hedgehog...

At our last house we had a feral cat called 'Little One', and I built him a little house which we left near the back door, and his food bowl was just outside the back door. Because he was feral, I made his house with a front entrance & escape door at the back so he wouldn't feel trapped. Anyway, he slept in it overnight on an old pillow all year round.

One evening we heard an unusual clinking at Little One's food bowl. We put the outside light on and opened the back door - and startled a Hedgehog. It bolted straight away from the house, into Little One's house, ran over the top of the sleeping cat and out the emergency rear door. Moments later, Little One stuck his head out looking confused, as if to say 'What Just Happened?'

Richard

Priceless! @rotfl: @rotfl:

I was particularly cross about that garlic pate, not only the price which was €'s ++ but I had struggled to make myself understood in the delicatessen.
My accent just wasn't good enough and I think I got the genders wrong! All those 'le' and 'la' for male and female words! :tizzy: :tizzy:

He was a very sweet little cat. Despite being feral, and absolutely tiny, he lasted until he was 21 at least. In his last couple of years he overcame his feral upbringing to stay in the house for hours on end during cold weather, and age 16 or so he taught himself to use Albert's dirt tray. Can't teach an old dog, but an old cat is something else.

Richard.

Found out today that the crafty meet at our local Church is starting again on 11th September! Every Saturday morning between 10 and 12 we would meet up and bring our crafts and due to Covid it has been stopped for well over a year! Have missed it so much so really looking forward to going back and catching up with everyone :D

That cat on the stairs would be absolutely lethal. It's bad enough with our ginger & white running ahead and then randomly stopping on the stairs. Imagine if you couldn't see the stopped cat.. Gaah!

They so resemble ladies of my village, 30 years ago or so. (Although the scandal of being out in the road in your pinny!)
