I don’t know about being ticklish, but they like to ride in vehicles like dogs. We used to put them in the boxcar of our train, and they would always stick their nose up, like a dog sticking their nose out the window. Apparently some (maybe all?) rats are ticklish, and they have a sound they make analogous to laughter when being tickled.

The scary part is….we used that same box car to put popcorn in when the rats were not riding….and I don’t think anyone wash it.
