I have a photo of it that I could post if that would help any, Richard. I'm pretty sure the fabric was 28 ct, which I usually stitch (or 25 ct) for my HAEDs, using 1 strand of thread. I'm not sure, but I don't think I have any 32 ct left. I'll have to find some scraps and count. Thank you so much for the praise, I'm just happy that you enjoy it. Whenever I try 2 strands on that size fabric I can't get the needle through the fabric after I get more than 10 stitches. Don't know how some manage that. ( When I enlarged the photo on your site, I did see what I think is one of Rosey's cat hairs that I missed. You have my permission to remove it. Sorry bout that )

Carole,

I had missed the cat fur (so used to seeing it at this end, where 2/3 the vacuum cleaner dirt is usually cat fur). It was stitched in, so my first thought of it being from Squeaky wasn't right - despite the fact he was utterly, utterly determined to be an immobile part of my lap last night.

Regards,

Richard

It took a while, but PostImage did send me a password in the end, so I updated my earlier post to show the thumbnail link instead.

Oh, Richard! I am so honoured that you went to such trouble to create this beautiful piece of my namesake, Serindë. It is a perfect Stashmas card! My 2022 resolution shall be to live up to her (albeit fictional) example. Thank you so, so much. The photo doesn't do it justice, particularly with the subtle backstitching. I will get a good photo for you. (And I love pens, too.)

This lovely Christmas lamb from Debbie arrived this morning, and I love it to bits - it's a beautiful message wrapped in a beautiful piece of stitching (and I've learnt about some new hand-dyed threads at the same time...). Thank you so much Debbie, it is gracing the top of our pianola (our "display space" in the living room) as I type!

Serinde, I'm so glad you like it. And that it arrived in one piece.

Have to confess I was a bit concerned that it'd be too obvious a choice of subject...

More fabulous cards, what a wonderful collection they would make if they were all together in 1 photo.

I am so glad that I chose this Stashmas as my first ever exchange I’ve ever signed up for.
@Serinde, the card you made me is so beautiful. Thank you so much.

I hope it’s OK to share that this is one of Mabel’s patterns. It makes it like a double gift. 😁

I have to add…I have tried to do that stitch before. I think it’s called Hardanger. It is beyond me. And now I get to enjoy admiring it. :whoop:

You are very welcome, and it is hardanger, but only as Mabel can design it. There are techniques I'd not tried before!
