There is a lot of stitching already done, and I love this update. The rest will follow in its time. Just sometimes we have to take life a bit more slowly and then gget annoyed with outselves for not getting an area done. If that is you, tell your thoughts to go elsewhere "it will get done in tim".

I'm using not finishing her face yet to encourage me to do the rest

In the meantime the sun came out so I have been working on my Geisha in my conservatory.

Image

I was doing well on her parasol but in the end I had to admit it was getting a bit cold out there so back to my enchantress

The geisha looks good. Stitching outside when it’s cold is difficult. I’d love to stitch outside today, however is not even 10am here and we have already reached what is forecast to be our high temperature today: 28°F (-2°C).

:applesauce: :applesauce: The geisha is coming along beautifully. I know I cannot stitch when it gets cold. Another reason to be looking forward to Spring!

The geisha is coming on well. I love the soft green of her 'dress'.

I always stitch faces and eyes last. I feel I'm being looked at whilst stitching which makes me feel uncomfortable! :tizzy:
But perhaps it's me being odd!!

The Enchantress looks enchanting (couldn't resist). I like to stitch the face and eyes of a figure as soon as I get to that section. Makes the piece feel like it's alive and encourages me to "get on with it"

Your enchantress is gorgeous! The benefit of saving the eyes for last is you can’t see her roll her eyes at you when you put her away. :-)

Thankyou Carol and Wendy :) ,

The weather did not know what to do with itself today so I gave up trying to do any gardening and headed into my conservatory to do a bit more on my Geisha:

Image

This one, like the enchantress, feels like it is over half way so I will have to think about frames. Yes I need two frames (possibly 3  ) as I doubt I will be able to match the frame on the original one

Both ladies are coming along very well. Hopefully some more rainy weekends will be a help towards the finish. :) :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

The Geisha is lovely. There is a delicate gentleness about her that I love.
