Nearly there. Thought you might be interested in part of the process of stitching the plastic canvas together. It's pretty straightforward whip stitch, but attaching the upright parts to the base was tricky. Three strands rather than just 2 would also have had better coverage, I think. The corners are next, then attaching it to the bit green base. The roof is last (with glue!)

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: This is turning out to be more beautiful than I would have imagined. Can't think how hard it was to sew the house onto the base.Great job!

Wow! That’s so cool. I’m not sure I’d have the patience to put it together. I’d probably end up with just the pieces.

Gosh, that does look tricky! I like the way the attaching stitches change colour to match the bits they are attaching - is it awkward fastening off and on all the time? But that attention to detail does make it even more beautiful.

Back to the Cluny tapestry, which I finally got out during lockdown, you might remember, and fixed a mousehole ( ). I am DETERMINED to get it done. Soon. This is the one I generally work on in the summer, outside, in the shade. Fine for June, but not much good since. So it's taking up half the living room now (again). I must say I'm bored with it after all these years (don't ask), but I'm going to finish it, dammit. There's a rabbit on the other side... anyone feel like coming over and stitching... there could be cake...! :thinks:

So here's the right-hand corner finished apart from the 8 or so rows of "frame".

And here's a shot of the flowers along the bottom to just about half way across the whole piece, mostly completed.

My goodness that is a labour of... well, perhaps not love anymore :) but certainly endurance! The rabbit will be a bit of a distraction to look forward to though :bunny:

It looks really good and I also admire your determination to complete this. I am more and more looking forward to getting back to my WIPs (I refuse to consider them UFO's. How much of your tapestry do you have left?

Too much. The RH side is just these flowers and the background. The right-hand side still has quite a big bit (including the rabbit) is about 7x3.5 inches. So big. And then, there's the "frame". :( :(

if I can be the Prue Leith of stitching here, "is it worth the calories"? If it has become such a chore, is it perhaps time to decide that you don't want to spend precious stitching time on it? Sometimes a project that looked good to begin with simply doesn't work for you, because of changed circumstances or tastes or just because it is not what you thought it would be.

I agree with Mabel.

I am struggling to finish a cross stitch picture of boats in a harbour. What I originally thought was a fun piece has become Boring! All that sea in every colour of blue/grey/green! :tizzy:
I look at it sitting on my desk now hiding behind the chart and instruction almost every day then go and pick up my knitting or some small piece of Hardanger.
Should it become a WIP or a UFO? Or should I just give it, unfinished, to the charity shop?

Answers on the back of a postage stamp please!

Ho Hum!!
