Yesterday Sue and I walked from the village hall to go home towards the green. Sue had her car and she said oh look at that Robin - sitting on a dragon's tooth (wood post cut at an angle) at the front of her car. I looked over just as she hit the button on the cars key remote.... it beeped, the car's lights flashed.

The Robin launched itself vertically about 2 ft and landed looking at her car. Sue and I fell about laughing. The Robin sat there giving the car the evil eye. It finally flew off when we got within about 10ft of it. Cars are not considered a risk for a Robin: only their occupants .

Its a Old police fiction joke. "Lets be having you then" supposedly said by every copper, making an arrest.

There is also a Police station in Pig Lane

While things are going down hill :

A hole has been found in the wall of the ladies changing rooms - The police are looking into it.
There was a burglary last night at the dog kennels, the Police have no leads.
A thief has stolen all of the toilet seats from the new police station. Detectives have nothing to go on.

I am gobsmacked at the prices they are asking. For instance anyone can buy the book including the Harvest Sampler chart here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226429299255 even that book used to sell for £10 a copy.

Maybe I should sell some of my old charts that I have completed the pieces but I always thought the copyright said something about can only be stitched once.

I'm a cynic.
Under these circumstances, I'm usually feel the 'seller' doesn't actually have what they're selling. But what they do have is knowledge of someone who will sell at a price lower than they're asking. Then they launch a speculative sale & if someone bites, they buy it from their source & ship it out. I'm sure I've seen the same at Amazon with out of print books.

Both, I reckon. There will be bodies out there who will buy out-of-print TW designs no matter the cost because they'll die (or something) if they can't have them. It's part of the decadence of our era. Richard pretty well describes the sellers' side.

I have never sold a chart but have frequently given them to friends. I always ask them to do the same when they are done with them.
