Love the jewel! Must be very encouraging to see it appear complete.

It is very encouraging indeed. The hardest part of doing full coverage is it seems to take forever to see details emerge.

This is where I stopped on Friday, but I’m just now getting around to posting it. Working on this one is why my Innocent Dreams has been neglected recently.

Looking good. Having two HAEDs on the go at the same time... well, working on one cannot be described as neglecting the other in my book, anyway.

I decided to work on this one tonight. I needed some color after working solely on Innocent Dreams this week.

There's some serious counting going on there  - and what a good idea to alternate the projects so they both stay fresh.

I’ve worked on this one for a few hours over the last couple days. I should be getting close to the lettering for the book title soon…I hope. I won’t get to the dragling until the bottom half of the design but every stitch puts me closer.

Definite progress, and that dragling is a great encouragement to keep going!

Definitely! I can’t wait to get to him. I feel like I want to drop down a bit and at least stitch an eye or something. :-)

Not sure I'd like one disembodied dragon eye peering at me out of the cloth... But I know what you mean.

Valid point. It could encourage me to keep working because he’s watching me or….totally creep me out because, you know, he’s watching me. lol

I’ve been working on this one for the past week or so and have finally made it to the words…or at least the word dragons. I’m not crazy about how it looks so I’ll likely be “fixing” it later. I think charting lettering is one of the weaknesses of HAED.

That has come on in leaps and bounds, great progress :applesauce:

As for the lettering, I have always had my suspicions that HAED just feeds images into a generator and considers it done - witness the times that a colour is listed for about three stitches in a 300,000-stitch design, and the fact that very few of the designs seem to come with pictures of actual stitched models. I look forward to seeing your improved version!

Mabel, I totally agree with you. Some of their charts are better than others but the ninja stitches are ridiculous and I usually replace them with another color in the area.
