Rose Afghan
Sorry took me a bit to figure out what "SAL" meant. Here is the first Rose, but realized I did it wrong. I should have done "over two". I'm waiting for DMC 3685 to come, so it's missing couple stitches.

Re: Rose Afghan
Well it looks just great! Will it make alot of difference to your pattern now, with it being smaller than you wanted?

It looks lovely like this! When you say you "should" have done it over two, do you mean that was your plan, or that's the rule? Because if the latter, let me put your mind at easebiggrins wrote:I should have done "over two".

Re: Rose Afghan
Looks great!!
When you guys say "over two" and "over one" what do you mean? Do you mean "squares"?

Re: Rose Afghan
Lovely! If you like it as it is but you want it a bit bigger, why not stitch a nice border around it that would fill some space?

Re: Rose Afghan
it means "threads" -- when you work on evenweave you usually work "over two", but for miniature and other fine work you can work "over one". If you go to the glossary and scroll down a bit there's a picture of stitching on evenweave with the different stitches.Krissy wrote:When you guys say "over two" and "over one" what do you mean? Re: Rose Afghan
Wow - fabby!! I've started my first Afghan also (Winnie the Pooh) and I'm stitching over 1 and loving the look it gives - all stitches lovely and "snuggly" - I was thinking of working over two but unfortunately none of the patterns would have fitted in the squares

WIP:
Winnie the Pooh afghan - 30% complete (3 of 10 squares)
DMC Wishing on a Star - 50% complete
Maria Diaz - Newborn - 0.6% complete (110 of 16698)
Completed:
Miffy Afghan

Oh well -- you'll just have to face the fact that you're going to have a much more delicate afghanbiggrins wrote:The pattern's directions calls for "over two".
